Referral Process

Humble Dwellings accepts referrals from agencies in the Quad-City metro area. Below is our referral process, agency referral form, a list of some of our partner agencies, and contact information.

A group of Humble Dwellings volunteers

1

Agency Submits Referral

Agencies determine which clients are a good fit and utilize the referral form to request services.

2

Review & Approval

At this stage the information will be reviewed by Humble Dwellings and we will contact the agency for follow-up questions and approval status.

3

Site Visit with Client

If the client meets required criteria, the Project Leaders do a site visit with client to build rapport, determine needs, assess space, and explain pre-move requirements.

4

Furniture & Household Items Selected

The Project Leaders select and gather donated furniture and household items.

5

Volunteers Recruited

Volunteer movers, trailer drivers, and house set-up crew are enlisted for the move date.

6

Time to Make the House a Home

Client greets the move-in team and lets them begin making the house a home, returning later to the reveal of their new living space.
